May 14, 2026"I pre-ordered my meal for pickup to sidestep the lengthy wait times often reported by patrons. My choices for this soul food experience were two standout dishes: the Honey Butter Bowl, featuring dirty rice, candied yams, collard greens, and catfish, and the Original Bowl, which came with macaroni and cheese, dirty rice, cabbage, and fried chicken. Given the seasonal delights, we opted to add an extra piece of chicken to the first bowl. Located in a bustling shopping plaza, the restaurant is easily accessible with ample parking available. Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly and waited approximately five minutes for my order to be brought out. It arrived piping hot and well-packed, resembling a delivery from a professional service. The flavors were nothing short of exceptional, easily earning a perfect score of 10/10. The catfish was impressively portioned, while the chicken was seasoned to perfection, reminiscent of recipes handed down through generations. The sides complemented the main dishes beautifully; while I haven't yet discovered the absolute pinnacle of soul food, the buttery goodness certainly ranks among the top five I’ve encountered. To my delight, I had leftovers, and they did not disappoint the next day. A special shoutout to my air fryer’s reheat function, which preserved the flavors as if they had just been freshly prepared. Will I return? Absolutely. Will I continue to order ahead? Without a doubt! While some diners might rate this establishment lower due to wait times, I firmly believe that this restaurant deserves top honors in the realm of soulful dining."

May 13, 2026"It's a decent place to go. The catfish is very good. Would for sure recommend it. They didn't really have much else to try. They don't have the devil egg fish anymore, they said they also stopped doing the collard green and spinach dip, and I asked for the dusse wings and apparently they didn't get their shipment of wings today so I couldn't get those. What i did get was one of the bowls, with honey butter cornbread, mac n cheese, greens, yams, and catfish. Top tier catfish, yams decent, Mac n cheese decent, collard greens could be better. I can see how this would be a good atmosphere with decent food, good music playing, and a nice staff. If you're ever in the area, give it a try."

Apr 21, 2026"The environment was nice with great music. The staff were very professional. The food was delicious and reminded me food from back home in Chicago. My husband and I got the family meal which was a lot of food for a great price. Despite having a hiccup getting our food, the staff was apologetic and given honored my request for a discount. I will definitely come back"
